Aaghosh Program New Qist Released
The Punjab Social Protection Authority launched the Aaghosh Program for pregnant and lactating women in all districts of Punjab. Registration centers for these women are set up in each district, and registration is carried out at the tehsil-level headquarters hospital after a medical examination. Payments are made post-examined to ensure deserving women receive financial aid without hassle.
The Government of Pakistan, in collaboration with the Punjab Social Protection Authority, has initiated the BISP Aaghosh Program. This program operates in eleven districts across Punjab, including Bhakkar, Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Rahim Yar Khan, Mianwali, Khushab, Leh, Rajanpur, and Lodhran. It focuses on pregnant women and mothers of children under two years old, ensuring they receive proper health care access.
New Registration Method for Pregnant Women
Pregnant women and mothers of young children can register for the Aghosh Program at any health center in the specified districts. They only need a valid National Identity Card (NIC). After registration and confirmation, participants can activate their payments through biometric verification at any HBL Konnect branch.
Pregnant or nursing women can join the Aghosh Program at any time. To register, bring your valid digital NIC to the nearest DHQ, THQ, or health clinic, along with any required documents.
Benefits of the Aaghosh Program
The Aaghosh Program recognizes the crucial role of mothers in nurturing healthy families and communities. By providing financial support to pregnant and lactating women, the program aims to reduce maternal and child mortality rates. The schedule for checkups is as follows:

25000 Financial Assistance for Pregnant Women
The program offers financial assistance to pregnant women throughout their pregnancy, which includes:
- Four installments of 1000 each to cover the cost of four mandatory prenatal checkups.
- A one-time grant of 3000 after a safe delivery.
Eligibility for the Aaghosh Program
Mothers of children aged 0-2 years receive support for their child’s regular medical checkups and immunizations. They are notified via SMS and receive 1000 per visit at HBL Konnect. Additionally, 10,000 is provided for the child’s health needs from birth to two years. Eligibility criteria include:
- Residency in one of the eleven target districts of Punjab.
- Being pregnant or having a child under two years old.
- Belonging to a low-income family.
- Possessing a valid NIC (for pregnant women) or NIC and child’s birth certificate.
- Additional support is available for women or children with disabilities.
